The Irene Ingle Public Library began offering a brand new menu of services to the community!
The Library staff have been working diligently to automate the Library. What this means for you are new services. You can search for a book on a digital catalog, even in the comfort of your own home! If you want, you can keep track of all the books you have read from the Wrangell Library. You can see what the library is ordering and can reserve a book on-line. You can watch the Book River on the counter monitor in the library to see what has been received recently in the Library. And more!
What this means for the Library staff is more efficient check out services, better knowledge of where books might be, a better understanding of library usage and customer needs, and more informational opportunities to serve patrons.
Stop in to visit the Wrangell Library and get your new Library Card! You will also get a small card to hang onto your key chain. Library staff will scan the Library card on checkout as well as the book. The days of paper cards are gone! And don't worry.... if you forget your LIbrary card, they can still look your number up manually.
The on-line catalog should be up and running this week... so keep checking the Library's on-line catalog web page, and explore a new world of books.
