Zoning in the Remote Outlying Areas of the Borough
For the last year, the Planning and Zoning Commission has been working with residents in the remote settlement areas of Farm Island, Thoms Place, Olive Cove, Meyers Chuck and Union Bay to develop zoning rules for their specific area. In November, the Commission held a public hearing on the most recent draft. Suggested changes are being finalized prior to an actual ordinance being developed.
The draft Remote Residential Mixed Use Zone that was subject to a public hearing in November is available for review here. The next public hearing on a revised draft ordinance has not yet been scheduled.
