REOPEN WRANGELL RESPONSIBLY

Covid19 Best Practices

The Reopen Wrangell Taskforce was established to engage with local businesses to aid in the dissemination of the information and mandate requirements  while local businesses adapt to new and ever changing regulations to reopen.

The Taskforce  developed a 10 question survey to  identify what local businesses may need in transitioning to reopen under State Mandate #16 Reopen Alaska Responsibly.  Results of that survey will be posted soon.  The reopening of each Wrangell business will look different, because of different circumstances, needs and requirements.

Four Newsletters have been developed and distributed.  Each newsletter addresses major issues and questions that came up from businesses, State, or the community.

The link to State Mandate #16 Reopen Alaska Responsibly and the detailed attachments for each type of business can be found at: https://covid19.alaska.gov/health-mandates/ . Also check out Mandate #17 for Commercial Fishermen and Mandate #18 for new travel related issues.

The email reopen@wrangell.com has been established to receive any questions you have and to try and get answers for you during this transition.

The Taskforce is taking a step back because the State of Alaska has "opened" and Wrangell businesses are opening as well. Should there be a need for their assistance, the Taskforce will begin meeting again to focus on business needs.
