BOROUGH FACILITY FACE COVERING REQUIREMENT CHANGES
Wrangell, AK – In recognition of updated COVID-19 health guidelines, advisories and policies of the CDC and the State of Alaska; and recognizing the level of vaccination in the community, the City & Borough of Wrangell has updated its policies related to face coverings. Additionally, this change is designed to further facilitate the transition out of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The following guidelines apply to members of the public, in addition to employees:
GUIDELINES
A. Face Coverings:
i.Face coverings are not required for fully vaccinated individuals in all Borough facilities, programs, and activities.
ii. In conformance with CDC Guidelines, unvaccinated individuals are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings in all Borough facilities, programs, and activities.
B. Physical/Social Distancing:
i. Physical/social distancing of maintaining a separation of six (6) or more feet shall remain in place to the maximum degree possible with unvaccinated individuals or when vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals are interacting together.
ii. Physical/social distancing is not required for fully vaccinated individuals.
C. Symptoms:
i. Individuals who are sick, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, should stay home.
ii. Individuals who are showing symptoms of COVID-19, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, should contact a medical provider for guidance, get tested, and isolate.
