The Wrangell community is proud of the wide range of health services that are available in Wrangell. In 2021, Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium SEARHC) opened a brand new hospital in Wrangell.

The 44,500 square foot facility integrated on-site Primary Care services with Critical Access Hospital services, ancillary support services, and Long-Term Care.  Services include:

  • 14-bed Long-Term Care unit
  • Eight-bed Acute Care wing
  • Expanded Emergency Department
  • Enhanced Critical Access Hospital services, including Laboratory, Imaging, Rehabilitation, Outpatient, and Pharmacy
  • Integrated Primary Care services
  • Rehabilitation services, social worker and dietitian services 
  • Access to visiting specialty service
  • Rehabilitation services: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy
  • Pharmacy

SEARHC also provides community-based behavioral health programs for seniors, assistance for people with developmental disabilities, as well as dental services. 

Chiropractic services are provided by an independent community doctor.
