PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

For immediate release: August 21, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.

Concrete patching and impacts to roads/traffic

Beginning tomorrow, August 22, 2025 the Public Works Department will be working with a local contractor to do some concrete patching on various roads and sidewalks around town.  Roads that are expected to be impacted are the following areas:

  • Case Avenue
  • Shakes Street
  • Campbell Drive
  • Peninsula Street

Steel plating will be utilized where possible to keep both lanes of traffic open, however supplies are limited so to maximize the nice weather some roads may be reduced down to 1 lane of traffic until concrete can properly cure. 

All roads are expected to be fully passable by Thursday, September 4, 2025.  This is not a comprehensive list of the areas that need attention.  Additional patching will be addressed as weather and time allow.  Please avoid these areas while work is ongoing if possible.
