Scrap Metal - Public Service Announcement

March 22, 2022: Public Service Announcement regarding scrap metal processing

Beginning April 1st 2022 Chanel Construction will continue to be processing scrap metal in Wrangell for the foreseeable future. Chanel Construction is accepting scrap metal from community members free of charge while they maintain operations in Wrangell.

Hours of operation will be 7:30am-4:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The drop off site is located at 6.3 mile Zimovia Highway at the former Mill property.

Any type of scrap with oil or gasoline (for example cars) will not be accepted. If oil and/or gasoline has been drained from the item, that scrap can still be brought in for drop off. Additionally, for cars, please remove rubber tires before dropping off.
