Wrangell Harbor Basin Revitalization and Transportation Resiliency - FY2024 RAISE application supporting documents
The following items are the supporting documents referenced in the application for the FY2024 USDOT RAISE Capital Grant application.
The Project is necessary to:
- Replace extremely unsafe infrastructure with a safe, accessible, efficient and modern harbor for all users that will support mobility and community connectivity.
- Meet utility codes and basic safety requirements.
- Improve environmental sustainability and create energy efficiency.
- Minimize impacts to the marine environment from the aged facility.
- Improve quality of life and conditions to enhance economic competitiveness and opportunity; and
- Provide resilient infrastructure to meet the local and regional marine transportation needs of all harbor users, including commercial fishermen, freight haulers, emergency responders, and tourism operators.
