Public Hearing Notice & Right to Protest
As per WMC 16.12.015, notice is hereby given that there is a desire to transfer Borough-Owned real property described as Lot 5A, Spur Road Subdivision, according to Plat No. 98-13, filed in the Wrangell Recording District, First Judicial District, State of Alaska, located in the City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska 99929. to the State of Alaska, Trust Land Office, for the purpose of constructing a residential subdivision.
The Wrangell Planning & Zoning Commission and Economic Development Board have reviewed this request and approved the request to move forward with the Land Transfer.
Any person wishing to protest this application to exchange the proposed Borough owned Property described as:
Lot 5A, Spur Road Subdivision, according to Plat No. 98-13, filed in the Wrangell Recording District, First Judicial District, State of Alaska, located in the City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska 99929
...must file a written protest with the Borough Clerk, no later than February 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
Written protests may be emailed to clerk@wrangell.com or delivered to 205 Brueger Street, Wrangell, AK 99929. Any such protest shall state the reason(s) for the protest in detail.
A Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, and the Borough Assembly will consider approving the transfer, by Resolution.
