Continued Public Support

The Wrangell Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was notified today, November 18, 2021 that the current number of active cases in Wrangell is thirty (30). The numbers have steadied and decreased over the past few days so it was decided to cancel the Assembly meeting for tonight. However, our numbers are still at an all time high and the EOC strongly urges everyone to remain vigilant as we work to get our case count down.

Please take personal responsibility and the individual steps necessary to protect yourself and your family.

  • Isolate yourself if you feel any cold-like symptoms and get tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible.
  • Avoid crowded places and gatherings; keep social circles small.
  • Stay at least 6 feet away from people outside of your household.
  • Have a mask on when you are around people outside of your household – even if you can maintain a 6-foot distance from others.
  • Take advantage of free, asymptomatic testing and test regularly.
  • Wash your hands often and disinfect commonly touched surfaces and objects.

Stay safe and well Wrangell.
