COVID UPDATE

The Wrangell Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was notified today, July 26, 2021, at 1:05 p.m. of two new positive COVID cases. Both individuals are Wrangell Residents and had recently traveled outside of Alaska and tested upon returning to Wrangell. The individuals are asymptomatic and are isolating. No additional information is known at this time. The total number of current active cases is at four.

Isolate yourself if you feel any cold-like symptoms and get tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible.

If you are unvaccinated:

  • Avoid crowded places and gatherings; keep social circles small.
  • Stay at least 6 feet away from people outside of your household.
  • Have a mask on when you are around people outside of your household – even if you can maintain a 6-foot distance from others.
  • Wash your hands often and disinfect commonly touched surfaces and objects.

Let us work together to keep Wrangell safe as we continue to transition out of the Pandemic.
