News Release 2021-09-25 New COVID Case

COVID UPDATE

The Wrangell Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was notified today, September 25, 2021, of one (1) new positive COVID case.

This individual is a Wrangell Resident and is a close contact to a previously identified positive case. This individual is symptomatic and is isolating.

Our current case count is at eight (8).

Continue practicing basic mitigation measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19:

Isolate yourself if you feel any cold-like symptoms and get tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible.

If you are unvaccinated:

• Avoid crowded places and gatherings; keep social circles small.
• Stay at least 6 feet away from people outside of your household.
• Have a mask on when you are around people outside of your household – even if you can maintain a 6-foot distance from others.
• Wash your hands often and disinfect commonly touched surfaces and objects.
