Stikine River Birding Festival -Cancelled

Calendar Date:
Thursday, April 30, 2020 (All day) to Sunday, May 3, 2020 (All day)

Due to the Covid-19 Virus, certain federal, state and local orders, mandates or recommendations have been issued restricting travel.  Wrangell is working diligently to abide by all restrictions to help curb the spread of the virus.  We have had to cancel the Festival as we normally enjoy it. Organizers are looking at ways to still offer some online and fun options so stay tuned as we develop some activities.  The birds are arriving, plants are budding, and while the arrival of Spring's warmer weather is slow...it will get here!  Come join us April 29 - May 2, 2021!!!

Please go to: www.wrangell.com/covid for information regarding travel restrictions.

Join us for the Stikine River Birding Festival in 2021!!  Speakers, art shows, and of course birds!  If you can't join us over the weekend, that is okay - join us throughout April and May for the wave of bird migrations through the area. Wrangell is located at the mouth of the Stikine River, a major stop over on the Pacific Flyway for birds migrating.  Eagles, Sandhill Cranes, Snow Goose, Shorebirds!
