Shoemaker Bay Harbor Float Replacement Project
The City and Borough of Wrangell is under contract with Tamico-RNR JV to construct the Shoemaker Harbor project.
While pursuing the submittal/shop drawing work, Tamico-RNR JV has completed demolition of the harbor’s existing infrastructure, including the old floats, the two existing concrete abutments and their respective walkways, and the utilities’ infrastructure. The majority of the basin dredging, complete with dredge spoils’ disposal, has also been complete.
Construction of the new gangway abutment is on-going, and the first shipment of new floats is expected to arrive in Wrangell by mid-December 2018.
