Friends of the Library

The purpose of the Friends of the Library is to be an association of persons to promote the Wrangell Public Library as a cultural, educational, and recreational asset of the City of Wrangell. Friends participate in public relations, programs and fundraising. The Friends of the Library is a non-profit entity.

Funds raised by the Friends have purchased library furniture, artwork, outside landscaping, and assisted with special needs of the Library.  The Friends were instrumental in obtaining the necessary funds to construct the Gazebo Park associated with the Library. Their primary fundraising event each year is the Friends' Dessert Bar held in conjunction with the Wrangell Public Schools' book fair event.
