WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR (WSI) TRAINING COURSE

The purpose of the course is to train candidates to teach water safety, including the Basic Water Rescue and Personal Water Safety courses, six levels of Learn-to-Swim, three levels of Preschool Aquatics and two levels of Parent/Child Aquatics. 

PREREQUISITES

  • Must be at least 16-yrs old on/before the last day of the course.
  • Successfully complete the pre-course session.

  • Swim: 25 yards from crawl; 25 yards back crawl; 25 yards breaststroke; 25 yards elementary backstroke; 25 yards sidestroke; tread water one minute in deep water; float on back for one minute in deep water. 

COURSE COST: $200.00 - American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Manuals and WSI Certifications are provided as part of the course materials and included in course fee.
