FOREST PLAN REVISION
TONGASS NATIONAL FOREST
The City and Borough of Wrangell would like to inform the public that the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service is revising the land management plan for the Tongass National Forest. USDA will hold a Community Workshop in Wrangell on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Nolan Center Classroom.
Community members are encouraged to attend the workshop and share their feedback. All feedback from the workshop will help shape plan content being developed for the new Land & Resource Management Plan.
Key topics for the workshop:
- A brief presentation about where the Forest Service are in the process & where they are headed.
- A short, independent activity to provide feed-back on preliminary content and direction.
- An informal reflection & voting on potential alternatives.
