The City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska received bids for the supply of Digital Cinema Projection Equipment on JANUARY, 14, 2013, at 4:00 P.M.  

The project consists of furnishing and delivering digital projection equipment, for the purpose of converting Castle Mountain Entertainment’s theater projection from a 35mm system to a digital system.  This move is necessitated by a shift to digital throughout the theater industry causing the studios to produce fewer copies of movies on film and making it more difficult to obtain copies on film.

The sole bidder for this project was McRae Theater Equipment, who was awarded a contract for the supply of Digital Cinema Projection Equipment.
