Front Street Electrical Undergrounding Design Build

The City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska is soliciting sealed bids from qualified design/build teams for the design and construction of the Front Street Electrical Undergrounding Design Build project, located in Wrangell, Alaska.   

The successful Bidder shall provide the necessary design, criteria, plans and specifications, and the construction thereof for an underground system for a portion of the Front Street corridor’s electrical power and communications utilities.  The work may include, but is not limited to, trenching, backfill, concrete demolition and replacement, conduit and cabinets for underground secondary electrical and communication, electrical wire and devices, meter bases, and service interfaces and connections. 

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held in the Council Chambers (City Hall), 205 Brueger Street, Wrangell, Alaska 99929 on Monday, February 13, 2012, at 11:00 AM.  The purpose of the meeting is to acquaint Bidders with the project requirements, existing conditions, coordination with other on-going construction activities, and to answer questions.  A one-time only tour of the project area will follow the meeting.  All firms who wish to respond to this solicitation shall attend the meeting.
