Front Street Notice: Updated Information as of May 30
Wrangell Road and Utility Improvements
Project No. 68828/HPRM-0003(135) & 67789
Public Notice:
This is to inform you of the upcoming coming construction activities and utility interruptions. As I am sure you are all aware by now, we are doing the final grading and laying down new streets and sidewalks. SEEM did complete the roadway and sidewalks to Ottesen’s as reported in the last update. SEEM has begun getting the roadbed to finished grade from Lynch to Campbell Drive with the goal being to get this section of work completed by the 4th of July. This is a very aggressive goal that weather permitting we will do everything in our power to complete. SEEM completed the installation of the retaining wall in front of City Market. All underground services to Episcopal Street are currently being installed.Water outages can be expected while this work is under way. As always public notice will be given before any planned water outages.
Thus far we have managed to keep the noise and working hours to a minimum so as not to negatively affect business and homes during the evenings and weekends. I would expect that during this phase of the job there will be times when we will be working some evenings and weekends. We will do everything in our power to try and keep the noise to a minimum.
There is a planned water shutoff planned for today from 3 pm till 8 pm from Lynch Street to St. Michaels while we pressure test the system. The contract requires all services to be installed and functional before we do this test, that is why it is taking place now.
