Temporary Workers
Public Works Department
The City & Borough of Wrangell will accept applications for the pool of Temporary Workers for the Public Works Department until November 12th, 2014. You must have a valid Alaska Drivers license. A CDL license is preferred but not required.
The work will include but not be limited to street repairs, shoveling and plowing snow around fire hydrants, sidewalks and other various locations, cutting and hauling brush, painting, and working with Public Works Employees on special projects and other projects as needed. Temporary employees with a valid CDL license may be assigned additional duties including driving sand trucks, hauling snow and operating small tractors for de-icing sidewalks. Workers may also be required to work on emergency sewer and water repairs and must be able to work in all weather conditions, nights and weekends.
These positions will be filled on a temporary as needed basis.
