Apprentice Water & Wastewater Treatment Operator

The City & Borough of Wrangell will accept applications for the position of Apprentice Water & Wastewater Treatment Operator through May 31st, 2016 at 5:00pm. This is a full-time position with benefits. Please note this position is part of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) whose bargaining agreement requires special consideration be given to existing IBEW member applicants.

Primarily responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the City's Water Treatment Plant, Reservoirs, lift stations, and pump stations.

Reports to Wastewater Leadman and Water Leadman on both water and waste water treatment plant repair and maintenance. Occasionally works with Public Works Department on sewer or water repair. May be required to assist Public Works crew in special projects and winter road maintenance.
