Wood Street Reopens

Wood Street fully reopened Wednesday morning, October 19th. The 2-1/2 month closure was needed to rehabilitate the roadway. Water main infrastructure in the reconstructed road prism was approaching 30 years old and had been identified as one of the areas in the City requiring attention considering the road upgrades. The replacement work required extensive excavation, traffic restriction and detours.

The City would like to thank Rock-N-Road Construction for completing a successful project, Alpine Market for their neighborly patience and assistance throughout the construction phase, AICS Clinic for vehicular and construction material access through their parking lot, and the public for enduring the detour route.
