MARINE SERVICE CENTER, CONCRETE PAVING Phase II
Funding for the Marine Service Center, Concrete Paving Phase II project is a State of Alaska's Designated Legislative Grant and comes from the Division of Regional and Community Affairs' Department of Commerce Community and Economic Development (DCCED). Engineering design services for the project were provided by PND Engineers, Juneau, Alaska.
NOTICE INVITING BIDS
Notice is hereby given that the City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska will receive sealed bids for the construction of Wrangell Marine Service Center – Concrete Paving Phase II.
The Work consists of all activities necessary to construct the Wrangell Marine Center - Concrete Paving Phase II as shown in the contract documents. The Work includes demolition and disposal, excavation, geotextile, shot rock borrow, base course, concrete paving, water system, sewer system, and bollards. The Work is comprised of a Base Bid and four Additive Alternates. The Engineer’s estimate for the Base Bid is approximately $4.4 million.
Sealed bids will be received by the City and Borough of Wrangell, Post Office Box 531, Wrangell, Alaska 99929, or located at the Borough Clerk’s Office, 205 Brueger Street, Wrangell, Alaska 99929, until 2:00 PM prevailing time on March 5, 2013.
The Contract Documents, including one set of reduced scale drawings, may be obtained at the office of the Borough Clerks Office, 205 Brueger Street, Wrangell, Alaska 99929 (Ph. 907-874-2381). A non-refundable fee of $50.00 made payable to the City and Borough of Wrangell is required for each set of contract documents. Additional charges will be required for special handling or delivery of the documents by means other than first class mail. The Contract Documents may also be downloaded free of charge on the City and Borough of Wrangell website (www.wrangell.com) under the Bids and RFP’s section. Downloading Contract Documents from the City and Borough of Wrangell’s website requires registration with the Borough Clerk in order to be placed on the Plan holders List and to ensure receipt of subsequent Addenda. Failure to register may adversely affect your proposal. It is the Offeror’s responsibility to insure that they have received all Addenda affecting this Solicitation. The Bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 PM on March 5, 2013 in the City and Borough of Wrangell’s Council Chambers at City Hall Wrangell, Alaska.
The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality in a Bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, as it best serves the interests of the OWNER.
