Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting for Water Treatment Plant

Please join the City and Borough of Wrangell at the ribbon cutting
and grand opening of the new Water Treatment Plant project on
August 14, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the facility, located on Wood Street.
The grand opening celebration will include participation from
project stakeholders including Wrangell Residents, Funding
Partners, McG Constructors and their Subcontractors and Vendors,
DOWL Engineers, Borough Assembly and Administration, and the
Water Department, among others. No RSVP required to attend.
The completion of this project brings tremendous benefit to
residents and businesses through advanced systems and
equipment for drinking water treatment process and provides
a higher level of sustainability for Wrangell’s future.
This project was made possible with the financial assistance from our State and Federal partners: USDA/Rural Development, Economic Development Administration, State of Alaska, State Revolving Fund, and U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations.
