Freedom Rock® Veterans Memorial

Honoring Service. Preserving Heritage.

The City & Borough of Wrangell is proud to develop Alaska's first official Freedom Rock® Veterans Memorial.

This community-driven project will create a permanent public memorial honoring those who have served while preserving the military heritage of Wrangell and Southeast Alaska. The memorial will feature a hand-painted granite boulder created by nationally recognized artist Ray "Bubba" Sorensen II and will become a place for remembrance, education, and community gatherings.

This website will serve as the primary source for project information, construction updates, volunteer opportunities, and upcoming events.
