The Waterfront Expansion project focuses on strengthening Wrangell’s working waterfront by improving marine access and expanding capacity for cruise tourism, independent yacht traffic, and marine fabrication and service businesses.
Key elements include:
- Expansion and reconfiguration of City Dock to accommodate a broader range of vessels, including ships that currently must lighter passengers offshore
- Improved docking efficiency, passenger access, and port revenue generation
- Infrastructure improvements that enhance redundancy and operational flexibility for marine users
