The Draft EIS for the Wrangell Island Timber Sale is out for review and comments are due Monday, July 18, 2016.
This document is important for review for not only the identification of where and how timber will be harvested on Wrangell Island, but also for Road Management issues -- what roads will be created to access timber, what road will be maintained long term, what roads will be closed and when.
Comments can be made via email to comments-alaska-tongass-wrangell@fs.fed.us, or by dropping them off at the Wrangell Ranger District, or mailing them to the Wrangell District Office at Box 51, Wrangell, AK 99929.
