Component Construction - Wrangell Medical Center Replacement Facility

The City & Borough of Wrangell and the Wrangell Medical Center, in conjunction with American Health Facilities Development, LLC , Program Manager, is seeking Component Construction services for a 28 bed, 53,982 gsf replacement hospital in Wrangell, Alaska. 

Architectural design and engineering services are provided by David E Johnson, Architect (DEJA) of Nashville, Tennessee.  Construction management services for the site-built scope of the project, including earthwork, utilities, foundations, and canopies, are provided by Layton Construction.

The scope of the work includes all labor, supervision, taxes, permits, design, engineering, fabrication, transportation, protection, reassembling, material, equipment, tools, shoring, scaffolding, hoisting, appliances and other facilities required to perform the Component Construction work as shown in the Contract Documents.  

A pre-proposal conference was held at 10:00 AM, Alaska Standard Time (or 1:00 PM, Central Standard Time), Tuesday, April 10, 2012.

Sealed bids were publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 pm Alaskan Time, on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in the Council Chambers of the City & Borough of Wrangell, Alaska.  The bid tabulation sheet is posted to this project's website below. 

 

Note: Subcontractor Bids for the Site and Structural portions of this project were bid directly to Layton Construction, at 10:00 am Alaskan Time (or 1:00 PM, Central Standard Time), on Tuesday, April 24, 2012.
